It's Citizen of the Year nomination time again!

The Haddonfield Lions Club Citizen of the Year (COTY) Committee is currently seeking nominations for the person who will be named the 50th Citizen of the Year in the history of this extraordinary town.

Past honorees include government officials, educators, administrators, artists, teachers, medical professionals, businesspeople, and hard-working volunteers.

To nominate an individual who has contributed to the town and region, e-mail Jack Tarditi, COTY Chair and Lions Club member, at

Nominations must include:

  • name and contact information of the person submitting the nomination, and the name and email address of the nominee;

  • the nominee's accomplishments and the way those accomplishments have benefitted people in the community;

  • the traits that make this individual special in what they do and achieve;

  • the educational, professional, and volunteer background of the nominee;

  • why this person should be the Citizen of the Year 2022.

Nominees must be 21 or older and be Haddonfield residents. Nominations should be no longer than two typed pages and must be submitted by December 25, 2021.

The 2022 Citizen of the Year will be recognized at the annual Mayor's Breakfast on January 22, 2022. Additional details about the breakfast will be available soon.
